Sharon Yvonne Stone was born on the 10th of March of 1958 in Meadville, Pennsylvania, to the accountant Dorothy Lawson and tool and die manufacturer as well as former worker in the factory Joseph William Stone II. Michael, Kelly and Patrick are her three siblings. Stone was thought to be gifted academically as a child and began in second grade at the age of five. Saegertown School located in Saegertown Pennsylvania was her high school. Stone graduated in 1975. She also competed and was crowned at the Miss Pennsylvania beauty contest. Stone relocated into New Jersey in 1977 with her aunt to take on a job as a model. In less than a month she signed up with Ford Modeling Agency. The next step was Europe in the course of a year within Milan, Paris and other cities. Stone became dissatisfied with the fashion business in Europe she decided to focus on acting instead. The film of Woody Allen, "Stardust Memories", was a mixed success at the age of 20.
